The final whistle blows and the game is over. Today's resounding win represents an impressive start to the tournament for England. Meanwhile, Iran will be pleased to have at least got two goals on the scoresheet after being largely outplayed for much of the game.

Another chance for Iran goes close! Sardar Azmoun is unlucky to hit the woodwork with a powerful shot. A free kick follows shortly after for Iran, the ball is whipped into a dangerous area of the box and Pickford is forced to punch the ball out of his six yard box.
